About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Reporting & Analytics Lead to own the reporting and analytics workstream for a major client transformation programme.
You will define the reporting approach, capture requirements, and drive delivery of trusted, decision-ready business reporting. Working closely with SAP and enterprise analytics specialists, you will ensure all outputs align with approved project scope, deliver clear business value, and support successful adoption.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic direction, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight across onshore and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business reporting discovery and fit-to-standard workshops with functional leads; capture business outcomes, KPIs, reporting personas and acceptance criteria.
- Define the reporting strategy, rationalisation approach and platform decision framework across SAP Embedded Analytics, BDC / Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and enterprise BI tools.
- Assess existing reports and new requirements; identify standard content, gaps, duplicates and retirement opportunities, and maintain full requirements traceability.
- Translate agreed requirements into a prioritised reporting backlog, delivery estimates and release plan; actively manage scope assumptions and change requests.
- Coordinate end-to-end reporting designs with functional, data platform, security and integration teams, ensuring consistent measures and clear data ownership.
- Lead onshore and offshore analysts and developers; oversee design quality, delivery progress, dependencies, risks and stakeholder communications.
- Define the reporting test and reconciliation approach; coordinate system integration testing, user acceptance testing and business sign-off.
- Oversee reporting deployment, user enablement, adoption and support handover; ensure all project deliverables meet agreed quality and acceptance standards.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience leading reporting and analytics workstreams on large-scale SAP programs
- Strong working knowledge of SAP Embedded Analytics, SAP Datasphere / BDC, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and enterprise BI platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to run discovery workshops, define reporting strategies and rationalise existing reporting landscapes.
- Experience managing prioritised backlogs, estimates, release planning and change control in a project environment.
- Track record of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams (functional, data, security, integration) and leading both onshore and offshore resources.
- Solid understanding of testing, reconciliation, deployment and user adoption activities for analytics solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Systems, Analytics or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
