WFM Systems Team Leader
Are you an experienced workforce management systems specialist ready to step into a role with genuine ownership and autonomy?
This newly created position will lead a small team and take ownership of the systems supporting workforce management, time and attendance, and payroll.
You’ll initially lead the existing RosterOn environment while helping shape a major future project to implement a new WFM platform.

- Lead, support and develop a small team of WFM Systems Administrators
- Own the configuration, maintenance and optimisation of the current WFM platform
- Coordinate system changes linked to awards, enterprise agreements and legislative requirements
- Develop test plans and guide the team through system testing
- Manage upgrades, integrations, enhancements and change controls
- Ensure workforce data is accurate and flows correctly into payroll
- Work closely with Payroll, HR, Employee Relations, Finance, IT and operational teams
- Partner with vendors to resolve issues and improve system performance
- Improve system documentation, processes and user support
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
- Help shape and implement the organisation’s future WFM platform
What we’re looking for
- Experience supporting or managing a WFM, time and attendance or workforce scheduling system
- Exposure to RosterOn, Optima, UKG, Kronos, Dayforce, Humanforce, TimeTarget or a similar platform
- A strong understanding of how WFM data integrates with payroll
- Experience interpreting awards, enterprise agreements or other industrial requirements
- Confidence managing system configuration, testing, upgrades and change
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- The ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Previous leadership, mentoring or team coordination experience
- Strong Excel, reporting and data analysis skills
Formal qualifications in payroll, HR systems or IT would be useful, but practical systems experience is more important.
Why consider it?
This is a newly created role, giving you the autonomy to shape the function, improve how the team operates and take real ownership of the WFM environment.
You’ll lead the current platform while playing a key role in the selection, design and implementation of the system that replaces it.
