All things LEONARDO- Knowledge Share Group v1.8
Precision Sourcing is delighted to announce we are hosting the first Knowledge Share Group of 2018! The event, now on its 8th of a series, is on April 19th. Leonardo – Knowledge Share Group.
The purpose of the group is to share learnings, experience and knowledge to ‘help talent achieve’.
Nicole Schnemakers, Senior SAP Project Manager and regular attendee of the KSG, came up with the idea of discussing new innovative technologies to give the group an understanding of where technology is heading within SAP. She also kindly connected us to her colleague at SAP Australia, Christian Schroefl who is the Head of Innovation Technology Adoption.
In late December we met Christian Schroefl at the SAP Australia head office and over a coffee discussed what content Christian would be delivering on the night as well as what attendees can expect to leave understanding.
Christian’s background
Christian is originally from Austria (Not Germany as I wrongly guessed on arrival) and has worked for SAP themselves for the last 18 years both in Walldoff, for 10 years, and Australia, for 8.
What is Christian going to present?
The event will be largely aligned with the Precision Sourcing values;
Knowledge
We are going to learn about SAP Leonardo and how to get those cutting-edge technologies into industry solutions. How innovation can help improve business solutions with intelligence, AI, machine learning, IOT and blockchain. We will also learn what is state of the art and what goes on globally in that innovation space all the while trying to make it real for the audience in attendance. Lastly we will learn when a company should consider moving into ‘innovation mode’.
Collaboration
The event will be split into 2 parts, the second being a panel discussion where the audience will get the opportunity to ask questions. Christian has kindly invited his colleague Rob Delnoij, who is Regional Lead Consumer Industries, SAP Innovation Office, SAP Asia Pacific & Japan to join him for the panel discussion.
Rob has over 25 years’ experience working with global and local consumer industry companies in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the USA helping them to build organisational strategies across both business and technology that deliver value via a sustainable competitive advantage.
Over the last few years Rob has been focused on the digital transformation of consumer industry organizations with a vision to reimagine the future way in which companies will interact with and deliver value to consumers.
Unique
Now for me the above sounds hugely technical and the majority will go over my head! However Christian will show us that IOT, AI and machine learning is already all around us and we are already consuming it day in day out on our phones and will even show simple demos the audience can relate to. In reality a lot of the above has been around for 25 years but now we have the opportunity to make more sense out of data which has improved through machine learning
