You may have read the news this week or noticed across social media that Precision Sourcing is partnering with the NRL to host a DataJam at Facebooks Sydney HQ today.
As a technology and data staffing business why do we host events such as this?
Well, put simply it helps us create deeper relationships within our talent communities. Being able to partner with brands such as NSW Rugby League or the NRL to gain access to rich data allows our data community a unique opportunity to do what they love – work with data.
I was at the 2016 NRL DataJam event and it is inspiring to see people collaborating, working as a team and sharing knowledge.
For Precision Sourcing, hosting innovative events are a value add and part of our greater purpose of ‘Helping Talent Achieve’. However, please remember we aren’t an events company. We are a niche technology and data staffing business, therefore, we can’t help you plan your wedding or Christmas party.

Competing Teams
As you could imagine the interest was huge for this event. We have ten teams with around 50 data analysts in total from some of Australia’s leading organisations.

Well, we are really proud to have some big names from the NRL as part of the panel. Plenty of selfie opportunities.
How can you attend/follow the NRL DataJam?
The event is at maximum capacity and unfortunately, Mr Zuckerberg can’t accommodate any more of us at Facebook’s beautiful new offices here in Sydney. However, using the #NRLDataJam will allow you to keep up to date with the action from 9 am – 6 pm tomorrow.
What other events do Precision Sourcing host?
In the past 18 months, we have launched successfully ‘Women In Data’, the ‘SAP Knowledge Share Group’ as well as Australia’s very first ever NRL DataJam in partnership with NSW Rugby League and ansarada.
In 2017 we are launching our first software/tech event aimed at leaders & innovators within the software and tech community.
How can you get involved?
You can host an event, attend an event, speak at an event, blog or give us an idea and we can partner with you to create an event. The opportunities are endless. The key factor is that Precision Sourcing events have to be unique and be true to our purpose of ‘helping talent achieve’.
