Technical Business Analyst – Solution Design

About the Client
Our client is a forward-thinking technology company focused on delivering scalable, high-performance platforms for large enterprise customers. They are undertaking an ambitious re-platforming project, moving from a low-code solution to a more robust system that can support complex workflows and high-volume operations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to design and implement a repeatable migration path from legacy systems to the new platform.
- Translate existing workflows and business requirements into technical specifications for the development team.
- Produce detailed documentation of inventory, tooling, and commonalities across workflows to support migration.
- Participate in solution design discussions, providing technical insight and ensuring designs are implementable.
- Map legacy systems to modern platforms, including APIs and integrations, to support smooth transitions.
- Work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure the platform meets both business and technical requirements.
Required Experience
- Strong technical background, ideally with a computer science or related degree.
- Hands-on experience in software engineering or development, with familiarity in Python, Java, Node.js, or similar languages.
- Experience with platform or product migrations, including mapping legacy systems to modern architectures.
- Comfortable working closely with engineering teams, including reviewing and understanding code when necessary.
- Proven ability to translate complex business or customer requirements into technical specifications.
- Prior experience in regulated environments (banking, government, energy) is desirable but not mandatory.
- Avoidance of purely process-focused BA roles – this is a highly technical, solution-oriented position.
