Senior PM / Program Manager
Location: Sydney (2-3 days per week in CBD office)
Start date: ASAP – urgent
Salary: $190k – 200k + super
Working rights: must be based in Australia and have full working rights
About the Role
Our client, a leading Australian retail business, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Program Manager to join their growing technology function.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of enterprise technology initiatives while playing a key role in maturing the organisation’s project delivery capability. Working within a lean PMO environment that is evolving into an Enterprise PMO, you’ll have the opportunity to influence governance, delivery frameworks and best practice across the business.
The project portfolio is heavily Microsoft-focused, with initiatives spanning Azure, Dynamics 365, enterprise applications, CRM/ERP platforms, online retail and broader business transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise technology projects and programs.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives across a diverse technology portfolio.
- Develop and improve PMO frameworks, governance processes and delivery standards.
- Support the ongoing establishment and maturity of the Enterprise PMO.
- Prepare business cases, project plans, budgets and executive reporting.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and delivery outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders, technology teams and business leaders.
- Coordinate internal resources alongside external vendors and consulting partners.
- Provide portfolio reporting and project status updates to senior leadership.
- Drive successful delivery across Microsoft technologies including Azure, Dynamics 365 and enterprise platforms.
Required Experience
- 5-8+ years’ experience delivering enterprise technology projects or programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technology initiatives across complex environments.
- Strong experience delivering Microsoft ecosystem projects, including Azure and Dynamics 365.
- Experience across enterprise applications, CRM and/or ERP implementations.
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and executive-level reporting.
- Strong vendor and third-party management experience.
- Experience working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Comfortable operating within organisations where governance and delivery frameworks are still evolving.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
