Salary: $140k-160k + super

Overview:
Our client is seeking a Functional Business Analyst to join a complex, multi-stream transformation initiative. This role will suit someone who thrives on working across diverse business units, is highly collaborative, and has strong experience in data governance, user-centered design, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with different user groups to elicit requirements using a user-centered design approach. Conduct documentation rationalisation to identify and remove unused data fields, supporting a streamlined technical assessment process.
  • Define business rules related to CDEs (Critical Data Elements) that support Facilities Management & P&C process changes
  • Shadow key Facilities Management stakeholders to uncover pain points and identify opportunities for automation or improved capability. Develop and validate value propositions with relevant business units to inform prioritisation within the program backlog
  • Analyse current data capture practices within Facilities Management systems. Act as the bridge between the program team and FM asset specialists to assess asset data quality, quantify the issues, and co-design scalable solutions.
  • Evaluate complex business challenges, uncover optimisation opportunities, and propose evidence-based solutions that enable smarter decisions.
  • Support project lifecycle activities including planning, delivery, and performance tracking. Identify risks early, implement mitigations, and ensure milestones are achieved on schedule, within budget, and to expected quality.
  • Map current workflows, pinpoint areas for improvement, and recommend process enhancements. Design future-state processes that improve efficiency and support strategic outcomes, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams for seamless adoption.

Required experience:

  • Tertiary‑qualified in business, IT, or management with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experienced in business process analysis, redesign, and optimisation using tools like Visio and Miro.
  • Skilled in data analysis and visualisation with proficiency in tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledgeable in project delivery methodologies including Agile and Waterfall, with change management expertise.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, applications, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communicator with a track record of building relationships and driving innovative, practical solutions.
