SuccessFactors and Payroll Project Manager

Location: Sydney, NSW (Hybrid – 1-3 days per week in office)

Contract Type: Initial 6-month contract (very high likelihood of rolling extensions)

About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced SuccessFactors Project Manager to join a major hire-to-retire transformation program. This is a key role supporting the delivery of critical HR and payroll initiatives on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP), with potential transition elements involving SmartRecruiters and SpinifexIT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage specific streams within the broader hire-to-retire transformation
  • Oversee the payroll compliance close-out activities, with a focus on implementing changes required for Payday Super legislation
  • Support integration and reporting enhancements, including utilisation of the SpinifexIT reporting tool for HR/payroll insights.
  • Contribute to any preparatory work or transition planning related to SmartRecruiters within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to bridge requirements, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery.
  • Drive project planning, risk management, stakeholder communication, status reporting, and issue resolution for assigned workstreams.
  • Help maintain momentum on the overall program while taking items off the lead’s plate.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering SAP SuccessFactors implementations or transformations, specifically with Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll compliance, including recent changes such as Payday Superannuation requirements.
  • Familiarity with hire-to-retire processes
  • Experience working with reporting tools in SAP Ecosystems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams – you must be comfortable translating between the two.
  • Excellent project management skills (planning, execution, risk & issue management, stakeholder engagement).
  • Track record of delivering in fast-paced, large-scale HR transformation programs.
  • Australian work rights and availability to start promptly.
