A leading consulting firm is seeking an SAP S/4HANA RISE project using a Selective Data Migration (also known as Selective Data Transition) approach. This initiative modernizes core business processes by migrating to SAP’s cloud-based RISE with SAP offering.
The project involves close collaboration with a premier SAP implementation partner for business consulting, dedicated SAP consultant teams providing business and technical solution support, and a specialized SAP Data Migration team leveraging SAP DMLT (Data Migration Landscape Transformation) as the core tool for selective data migration.
We are seeking an experienced SAP RISE Project Manager to take full accountability for end-to-end project delivery. This senior role focuses on unifying cross-functional teams, driving the selective data migration lifecycle to successful completion, and ensuring the project meets timelines, budget, and quality expectations in a complex, high-stakes mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery and governance for the SAP S/4HANA RISE implementation with Selective Data Migration.
- Provide strong leadership for the selective data migration workstream
- Drive cross-team coordination and effective stakeholder management across internal teams, SAP implementation partner (AC), SAP global delivery teams, and SAP cloud support functions.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations to maintain project momentum and mitigate impacts.
- Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and financial tracking to ensure efficient delivery within approved parameters.
- Apply robust PMO practices, including change management, change requests (CRs), status reporting, and progress tracking.
- Champion SAP principles and best practices, confidently communicating and reinforcing them with stakeholders, including challenging customers when required.
Required Professional Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, with a proven track record of successfully leading selective data migration initiatives (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with SAP DMLT (Data Migration Landscape Transformation) or other official SAP data migration tools (e.g., LTMC, LTMOM) for selective data migration, including end-to-end tool operation and methodology application – highly regarded.
- Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional teams in SAP RISE (cloud) projects, including SAP implementation partners, global delivery centers, and SAP cloud support.
- Solid understanding of data migration concepts, technologies, and selective migration approaches in SAP S/4HANA contexts.
- Strong familiarity with PMO concepts such as change management, change requests (CRs), governance reporting, and project controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project (MS-Project); experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills – confident, assertive, and able to hold your own in discussions with senior stakeholders and challenging customers while clearly articulating SAP principles and technical concepts.
