About the Role
A key role within the Financial Planning and Performance team, reporting to the Manager Financial Systems, Data and Analytics. You will ensure financial systems integrity, optimise systems for effective reporting and analysis, and support the ongoing integration of financial systems with wider business applications. Success requires initiative, exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of the links between IT and Finance systems, and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist systems and accounting advice, design and implement updates, and drive continuous improvement of financial reports, systems and practices.
- Identify, design and embed automated reporting solutions that combine financial and non-financial data.
- Operate, optimise and document the Cost Allocation Model (CAM), ensuring compliance with regulatory, accounting and taxation requirements.
- Maintain data integrity for credit card, expense and time-writing systems; provide end-user support, training and process documentation.
- Partner with Finance and IT to resolve complex system issues, support change initiatives, extract and integrate data (e.g. SAP to SAC), and coach others in systems usage.
- Perform general accounting tasks and ad-hoc queries as required to support statutory, regulatory and management obligations.
Required Background
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in financial reporting & analysis or systems accounting.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (FI, CO, PS, PM) and SAP Fiori.
- Advanced Excel skills and proven report development capability.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards, financial systems architecture and change management.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent) plus CA/CPA (or equivalent) essential.
