About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced SAP Test Manager to lead all testing activities for a large-scale SAP transformation program.
This role goes beyond traditional test coordination – it’s a strategic leadership position responsible for embedding quality assurance into every stage of delivery. You’ll define and implement the end-to-end test strategy, establish automation and performance testing frameworks, and drive continuous improvement across a DevOps-oriented delivery model.
You’ll collaborate closely with program leads, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to ensure testing excellence and deliver a robust, high-performing SAP landscape.
Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain the overall test strategy aligned with program goals and timelines.

Oversee all phases of testing – including Unit, Integration, System, UAT, Regression, Automation, and Performance Testing.

Partner with workstream leads, functional and technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Coordinate testing across multiple releases and deployment waves, managing risk within an iterative rollout environment.

Build, lead, and mentor testing teams, including offshore and onshore resources.

Develop and manage detailed test plans, scripts, and test data for SAP modules and integrated systems.

Drive defect management processes, ensuring timely resolution and traceability.

Lead implementation of automation frameworks (preferably using Tricentis Tosca) and performance testing initiatives.

Deliver clear and actionable test metrics, dashboards, and progress reporting to the PMO.

Ensure all test deliverables are compliant, auditable, and meet regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
-
15+ years’ experience in Test Management, including at least 3 full-cycle SAP implementations.

Hands-on expertise across all phases of testing, from planning through execution, automation, and performance testing.

Deep understanding of SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM, etc.).

Proven success managing testing for large, complex programs with phased rollouts.

Experience with automation tools (preferably Tricentis Tosca) and performance testing tools.

Strong working knowledge of test management tools such as SAP ALM and Jira.

Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Ability to manage and coordinate third-party testing vendors.

ISTQB certification (Advanced Level preferred).

Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or manufacturing.

Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
Desirable:

Experience embedding test automation and continuous testing practices in a DevOps environment.

Background in performance engineering and load testing for enterprise-scale SAP solutions.

Exposure to change and release management within large transformation programs.
