Cyber Security Lead

* Role highlight, cyber strategy and risk, bespoke consulting, high-end global clients
* Performance bonus plus meaningful benefits
* Boutique consultancy, no factory work, genuine influence on services and growth

Lead complex cyber strategy and risk engagements that prioritise real outcomes over box-ticking.

What will this job do to improve your life?

This role gives you the time, trust, and autonomy to do cyber consulting properly. You will not be rushing through templated engagements or delivering reports that gather dust. Instead, you will work deeply with clients, solve meaningful security problems, and provide guidance that genuinely shapes business decisions.

You will also play a key role in shaping the future of the Cyber Strategy and Risk consulting practice itself. You will influence how services are designed, delivered, and evolved. As the organisation grows, your impact grows with it, giving you the chance to build a reputation as a trusted consultant to senior leaders and global brands.

About the role

You will join a boutique cyber security consulting team specialising in strategy, governance, and risk, working closely with offensive security specialists to deliver pragmatic, risk-led outcomes. The role involves leading client engagements, advising on complex cyber challenges, and acting as a moral compass for how cyber risk services are delivered.

You will collaborate directly with senior leadership, contribute to service development, and engage with clients across a wide range of industries and threat profiles.

Duties

  • Lead cyber strategy and risk consulting engagements from discovery through delivery

  • Guide clients on cyber risk, governance, and remediation priorities

  • Translate complex technical and threat concepts into business-focused insights

  • Shape and evolve client-facing security service offerings alongside senior leadership

Skills/experience

  • Proven experience delivering cyber security and consulting engagements

  • Strong understanding of cyber strategy, governance, and risk management

  • Ability to collaborate with offensive security teams using an attacker mindset

  • Confident communicator with senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences

  • Based in Sydney or willing to relocate within a short timeframe

Benefits

  • Performance-based annual bonus scheme

  • Hybrid working with two days per week from home

  • Monthly coffee and meal allowance

  • Birthday leave plus 200 dollar gift card

  • Ability to swap public holidays for days that matter to you

  • Regular team morale events and social activities

  • Strong investment in learning, development, and knowledge sharing

Company & culture

You will be joining a boutique cyber security consultancy providing independent, expert services to enterprise clients globally. The organisation is deeply technical, highly collaborative, and strongly values quality over volume. There is a clear focus on solving real security problems, avoiding box-ticking, and giving consultants the space to do their best work.

The business is rooted in offensive security thinking, original research, and real-world incident response. This creates an environment where consultants are encouraged to challenge assumptions, stay close to emerging threats, and make a genuine impact.
