Senior Business Analyst (Contract) – Hobart
Location: Hobart
Rate: $900-1100 per day inc super
Duration: 6 months (plus extensions)
Working rights: must be an Australian permanent resident or Australian Citizen
Our Client
A large, complex organisation undertaking multiple technology and cyber-focused transformation initiatives. The environment is enterprise-scale, highly regulated and focused on improving resilience, security and modernisation across critical platforms and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead end-to-end business analysis activities across IT and business projects
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit, validate and prioritise business and technical requirements
- Document current-state and future-state processes, business rules, dependencies, risks and constraints
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability, managing change and impact assessment
- Contribute to options analysis, concept briefs and business cases to support informed decision-making
- Support procurement activities, testing phases and benefits realisation tracking
- Collaborate closely with business, technical and project stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable insights
- Review and assure project documentation to ensure quality, accuracy and alignment to intended outcomes
Required Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within IT or enterprise project environments
- Strong capability across structured business analysis planning and execution
- Proven experience working across infrastructure, cyber, end-user computing or platform-based initiatives
- Skilled in producing high-quality analysis artefacts (process models, requirements, RTMs, options papers)
- Confident workshop facilitator with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience supporting delivery phases including procurement, testing and change governance
