Location: Sydney (3-4 days per week in CBD office)

Start date: ASAP – very urgent

Rate: $1000-1100 per day inc super

Working rights: must be based in Australia and have full working rights

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical ServiceNow Consultant / Solution Designer to support a growing pipeline of platform enhancements, defect management, and ongoing optimisation initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and aligned to broader platform objectives. You will play a key role in shaping solution outcomes, managing delivery quality, and ensuring enhancements are implemented in a sustainable and maintainable way.

The role will focus heavily on solution design, stakeholder engagement, release governance, and the management of defects and enhancement pipelines across the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritise a pipeline of defects, enhancements, and platform improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business and technical requirements
  • Partner with vendors and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions, estimates, and delivery approaches align with business needs
  • Provide solution design expertise across the ServiceNow platform, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned to best practice
  • Support release governance activities, including UAT oversight and Production readiness/alignment
  • Drive process optimisation initiatives and translate business outcomes into effective platform capabilities
  • Contribute to platform uplift and continuous improvement initiatives across the ServiceNow environment
  • Produce high-quality functional and technical documentation to support delivery and governance activities
  • Provide guidance around technical debt management, extensibility, and long-term platform sustainability

Required Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Senior ServiceNow Consultant, Solution Designer, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role
  • Strong technical capability within ServiceNow environments, with experience designing enterprise-scale solutions
  • Experience with ServiceNow App Engine and Flow Designer highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience managing defect and enhancement pipelines within complex delivery environments
  • Strong understanding of release governance, UAT coordination, and Production deployment alignment
  • Experience delivering ServiceNow implementation, transformation, or platform uplift initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams
  • Experience working with external vendors and ensuring delivery outcomes align to agreed requirements and solution intent
  • Strong documentation capability across requirements, solution design, and delivery artefacts
  • Experience balancing extensibility, maintainability, and technical debt considerations within platform design decisions
  • Broader ServiceNow platform experience highly beneficial
