A large enterprise undertaking a multi-year SAP transformation via RISE with SAP Private Cloud, aiming to modernise processes, systems, and capabilities, improve efficiency, and reimagine customer and employee experiences.
Role Overview
Lead SAP development and cloud extensibility, overseeing ABAP, Fiori/UI5, and SAP BTP custom development. Ensure clean-core compliance, cloud readiness, and high-quality delivery across internal teams and System Integrators. Collaborate closely with Integration, BASIS, Security, and Functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

Lead development teams across ABAP, Fiori/UI5, and BTP, managing backlog, sprints, and resourcing.

Define and enforce clean-core, extensibility, and cloud development standards.

Guide design and implementation of BTP extensions, workflows, automations, and event-driven solutions.

Provide hands-on expertise and resolve complex technical issues.

Collaborate with Integration, BASIS/Cloud Ops, Security, and Functional teams for seamless cloud deployment.

Oversee System Integrator deliverables, ensuring governance, quality, and compliance.

Promote reusability, standardisation, and continuous improvement using SAP cloud tools and frameworks.
Required Experience

12-15+ years in SAP development, including cloud deployments.

Hands-on experience with SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry, Kyma, CAP/RAP, Workflow, API development, Fiori/UI5.

Strong knowledge of ABAP enhancement frameworks, CDS views, RAP model, and clean-core-compliant development.

Experience leading teams and managing SI deliverables in large ERP programs.

Familiarity with RISE with SAP Private Cloud and agile delivery practices.

SAP certifications in ABAP, Fiori/UI5, and BTP preferred.
