Portfolio Manager – SuccessFactors

We’re seeking a dynamic SAP Portfolio Manager with deep expertise in SuccessFactors to lead and optimize a high-impact $12M portfolio spanning SAP modules, SuccessFactors, and emerging applications. Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Leadership: Oversee a $12M portfolio focused on SuccessFactors, core SAP applications, and adjacent technologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and ROI optimization.
  • Opportunity Assessment: Evaluate and prioritize new applications during discovery phases, assessing feasibility, risks, and integration potential.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with architects, developers, and business leads to define roadmaps, resolve dependencies, and drive project delivery across portfolios.
  • Dependency Management: Identify and mitigate cross-portfolio interdependencies, ensuring cohesive implementation and minimizing disruptions.
  • Requirements Transformation: Translate high-level business needs into structured, actionable project plans-e.g., refining unstructured “blobs” of requirements into prioritized initiatives with clear milestones.
  • Strategic Influence: Manage relationships up (executive leadership) and down (delivery teams), exercising critical thinking to question assumptions, push back respectfully on misalignments, and advocate for optimal solutions while deeply understanding business drivers.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 8+ years in SAP portfolio management, with proven specialization in SuccessFactors (e.g., HCM, Employee Central) and broader SAP ecosystem (S/4HANA, Ariba, etc.). Hands-on experience managing $10M+ portfolios, including opportunity assessments for third-party apps.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, integration patterns, and emerging tools; ability to coordinate technical architects and evaluate app ecosystems.
  • Soft Skills: Respectfully opinionated communicator-adept at asserting expertise, challenging business stakeholders constructively, and fostering trust through critical analysis and empathy. Excellent at managing diverse teams and executives.
  • Mindset: Proactive problem-solver with a track record of turning ambiguous requirements into high-value projects. Comfortable in fast-paced environments with a focus on dependency resolution and strategic foresight.
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business, IT, or related field; PMP, SAP certifications (e.g., SuccessFactors Professional), or equivalent preferred.
