Digital Business Analyst – AI & Data
Location: Adelaide
Contract length: 6 months (extensions likely)
Rate: $900-950 including super, per day
About the Role:
We’re seeking a high-calibre Digital Business Analyst (Tech BA) to join a team delivering cutting-edge digital products to the business. This is a front-facing, value-focused role requiring exceptional technical fluency, stakeholder engagement, and digital curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a conduit between senior stakeholders (non-executive level) and technical teams.
- Drive productivity and efficiency gains through tailored digital solutions.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Data Visualisation experts, and UX/UI designers to develop AI-informed, data-driven digital products.
- Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops to interrogate AI problem statements and identify real business value.
- Translate complex business needs into actionable insights and requirements.
- Be a thought partner in agile ceremonies and iterative product development.
What We’re Looking For:
- A true unicorn BA – high IQ and EQ, capable of engaging deeply across business and technical domains.
- Strong grounding in data concepts (stack, movement, usage).
- Comfort speaking with engineers, visualisation specialists, and AI experts.
- Digital mindset – able to spot opportunities, question assumptions, and see beyond the obvious.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, whiteboarding impromptu sessions, and handling ambiguity.
- Experience working in Agile environments – flexible approach to suit context and team dynamics.
Desirable Experience:
- Snowflake and/or AWS exposure.
- Background in mining, heavy industry, or digital transformation.
- Strong skills in basic SQL and data analysis.
- Prior experience with AI, data product discovery, or intelligent automation.
What It’s Not:
- This is not an ERP BA or corporate waterfall role. We need thinkers, challengers, and digital explorers.
Location & Work Conditions:
- Adelaide-based strongly preferred – close to team and product owners.
- Flexible hybrid model – 3 days in-office
Team Structure:
- You’ll be working alongside a second BA, a Scrum Master, Data Engineers, Product Owners and a data visualisation expert.
